”For people who like to color outside the lines”

This wine is a Pinot Noir blend, yes, you read that right!. Pinot Noir is rarely blended for a lot of reasons, I'm not going to bore you with all the nerdy reasons, but I'll tell you one: Pinot Noir has a lot of delicate and intriguing aromas and if you blend it you will lose them to whatever other variety you blend it with.

Well, I have no idea how @smithdevereuxwines did it but in this blend Pinot Noir shines and also lets the other grape varieties come through. It's an amazing rule-breaking blend. The blend has: 57% Pinot Noir 37% Syrah 5% Cabernet Sauvignon 1% Merlot.

As most red wines you can serve it at room temperature or, since we are in the breaking rules mood, you can serve it chilled. We tasted the wine at room temperature and then slightly chilled. My preference for this particular wine is slightly chilled, which was a surprise for me because I usually enjoy them more at room temperature.

Unfortunately, the tasting notes we are going to share right now are at room temperature. When we had it chilled we're enjoying it so much that we forgot to take notes, so we'll have to get another bottle. Ok, enough talking! Here are our tasting notes:

Medium ruby color with aromas of black cherry, red plum, strawberry, allspice, fresh grass, blossom, wet stones and wood. Oh yeah, it's a roller coaster, there's a lot going on in this blend.

On the palate is medium acidity and body, light tannins with flavors of red plum, cherry, allspice, strawberry, cooked blackberry.

Most Pinot Noir wines are meant to be drink while young, but this one you can either drink right away or age in the bottle for up to 3 years. I'm super impatient, but I bet it will develop even more interesting flavors and aromas with some aging.

If you love bold red wines you need to try this one! There're only 100 cases produced, so if it sounds interesting for you, make sure to check it out soon.
