Knockmore - Irish Whiskey

Knockmore Irish Whiskey is a high quality whiskey aged in flame-charred bourbon casks. Distilled in Skibbereen, Ireland - a town in the heart of the County Cork in Southwest Ireland, an area recognized as the home of whiskey and spirit production.

This 8-10 year old delicate blend of grain and malt Irish whiskey, was a big surprise for me because of its value for money. It's a great quality whiskey for only $24 (@totalwine price).

Light gold color with aromas of vanilla, caramel, apricot and cedar. On the palate, flavors of toffee, butterscotch and spiced caramel with a light but lasting finish of vanilla. Tasting it with a drop of water intensifies the vanilla aroma and flavor and it has a little bit of bitterness. It's smooth and with an overall rich flavor profile.

If you are a scotch drinker like me, you'll find this Irish whisky is more sweet than a regular scotch whisky, but you won't regret giving it a try
